Lotus Temple is one of the most visited place in Delhi. It is also known as "Bahai Temple". This temple is a represents love and gives the message of immortality that's why its architecture is similar to the lotus flower. The total area of this temple is 26 acre and it is capable of holding more than 2000 people.
It is a symbol of peace, harmony and tolerance. It is a place which is open for all religion and every year many visitor come here to worship God. If all things go right than this place may be listed in the UNESCO's world heritage sites in future.

The Expressionist architecture of lotus temple was built by a Persian architect Fariborz Sahba who belongs from Canada. the temple is made up of white marble, dolomite and sand. The top view of this temple is looks like half open lotus. the team of 800 engineers , technicians and workers take 10 years to complete this beautiful monument of India. There are 9 reflecting pools which represents the floating leaves, the pools are also help to circulate air inside the temple.
